Boys 12U is 4- at Nike Swoosh this summer. They lost in the semi final at Reverend Mackey Tournament after posting a 4-2 league record.
Boys 13U struggled in a tough competitive Elmcor Summer League in East Elmhurst Queens. The play-offs start next week and they will start off playing as the last 5th seed in an 8 team tournament.
Boys 14U has played disappointingly at the Reverend Mackey tournament and the Nike Swoosh tournament. Picked as a favorite in both tournaments with good size and experience, the boys have just under performed. However, they have taken a couple of Championship at the Long Island Basketball AAU tournaments this summer.
Boys 16U (Blue) finished third in the April 2011 Madness tournament; while the two boys 15U (Barry) and 16U (Barry) finished disappointing 7th and 6th in the April 2011 Madness tournaments. from December 2010 into this early 2011 season. With size and experience, they are surpassing most expectations as the AAU season draws closer. While in Hicksville, the 11U boys took the Championship. The Boys, representing Valley stream in the Holiday Tournament, took the Championship game against Roosevelt, LI. This game was tough and was only decided in the closing 3 minutes as the ShootingStars Boys closed out the game with key baskets down the stretch. The 9U continue to be the future powerhouse of Long Island despite the summer vacations keeping the team from being fully stocked. The are heading to the semi-final in the Elmcor summer league in East Elmhurst. To inquire about joining any team email us at coach@vsshootingstars.com
